Xiaomi Mi Max 2 set to launch on May 25


After launching its flagship, the Mi 6, Xiaomi is all set launch a new monstrous device. Dubbed Mi Max 2, it will be unveiled in China on May 25. The Mi Max 2 will be successor of Mi Max, that featured a super large 6.44-inch display and a massive 4850mAh battery.

Xiaomi has also shared a poster of the Mi Max 2 release, which says the event will take place at 2MP in Beijing and will be attended by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. Chinese girl band SNH48 will also be present at the event.

In terms of specifications, the Mi Max 2 will feature the same giant 6.44-inch Full HD display as the Mi Max. It is said to come with Qualcomm's latest mid-range chip Snapdragon 660 or Snapdragon 626, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a beefy 5000mAh battery. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI.

Whatever the specs is, one thing is sure that the Mi Max 2 will be priced reasonably.

As mentioned earlier, the Mi Max 2 will be officially announced on May 25, and will will get to know the details about the official specs, pricing and availability. The Mi Max was launched in India last year, so it is most likely that the Mi Max 2 will also arrive in the country later this year.
