Canon launches EOS 200D DSLR camera with 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor launched

Canon is launching a new entry-level DSLR camera in India called EOS 200D which is designed for beginners in mind. It delivers high imaging performance and superior quality images through imaging technologies, including Dual Pixel CMOS AF, 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and the latest DIGIC 7 image processor.

The latest DIGIC 7 image processor allows the ISO speed reach 25600, which will help in reducing motion blur caused by slow shutter speeds, which is common especially under low light conditions. The Dual-Pixel CMOS AF will allow for fast focusing during Live View and shooting videos.

The camera's Live View Servo AF allows you to track the subject constantly and shoot at speeds of up to 3.5fps. It also has a Selfie Mode, which automatically adjusts the background defocus, brightness, and smooth skin effects to provide the best selfie shots.

The camera is capable of recording 1080p (Full HD) video at 60fps, and includes a 3-inch LCD touchscreen display, built-in flash, and built-in wireless connectivity including WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC. There's also a dedicated app called Camera Connect for the smartphone to pair with the camera and control its settings in real-time.

The Canon EOS 200D with an EF-S18-55 IS STM kit lens will cost Rs. 47,495. There's also a double zoom kit bundle with an EF-S18-55 IS STM + EF-S55-250 IS STM lens priced at Rs. 60,495. It will be available in India by the end of July in Black, Silver and White colors.
