Asus rolls out Android Nougat to 5.2-inch ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL)

Back in May Asus started rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat for the 5.5-inch ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL). Now the company is seeding Nougat to its smaller sibling, the 5.2-inch ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL)

The update with build version V14.10.1705.35 is being rolled out over-the-air in stages, and should take one week for a wider release. If you've not received the notification about the update yet, go to settings>about phone> system update for manual upgrade.

Although a change log has not been provided, the update is most likely to bring native Nougat features, improvements, bug fixes and newer security patch.

The main highlight of ZenFone 3 Max is its beefy battery capacity of 4100mAh, which is rated to offer up to 20 hours of talk time and 38 days of standby time. The specs include 5.2-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 13MP/5MP cameras, 4G VoLTE support, dual-SIM slot and fingerprint scanner.

Meanwhile, Asus has been on a roll this week, releasing Android 7.1.1 to two of its devices, the ZenFone 3 Laser, and the dual-camera toting ZenFone 3 Zoom.
