Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 India launch expected on June 13


The  refreshed Nokia 3310 feature phone went on sale in India recently for Rs. 3,310. Now it appears that the wait will finally be over for the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android smartphones.

HDM Global, the company responsible resurrect Nokia brand, has scheduled an event in India on June 13, where it is expected to launch the new Nokia Android smartphones in the country. The company had already confirmed to bring these devices to the Indian market by June, at an affordable price.

The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will have 4G VoLTE support, dual-SIM slot, expandable storage and run Android Nougat.

The Nokia 3 features 5-inch HD display, quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP front and rear camera and 2650mAh battery.

The Nokia 5 comes with 5.2-inch HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 430 chip, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP/8MP cameras and 3000mAh battery.

The Nokia 6 offers 5.5-inch Full HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 430 chip, 16MP/8MP cameras, fingerprint scanner and 3000mAh battery. It will be available in two versions: 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage.

The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 were introduced for 139 Euros ($163 | Rs. 10,500), 189 Euros ($212 | Rs. 13,700) and 229 Euros ($257 | Rs. 16,600), but the pricing for the Indian market is expected to be lesser. We'll get to know more about the pricing and availability details on June 13.

Apart from Nokia 3, 5, 6, Nokia is working on a flagship device, equipped with top-end specs like SD835, dual-cameras and more. The phone is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2017.
