Samsung outs Galaxy Folder 2 in South Korea
Samsung's Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone was announced in China back in September last year. Now the flip phone has been released in home market of South Korea, and the pricing is also known now.
The Galaxy Folder 2 will carry a price tag of 297,000 won ($260 | 16,900), and while the China variant was offered in Golden color, the home market will get two new color options: Black and Burgundy.
The Galaxy Folder 2 only has a single screen, that's on the inside. It sports 3.8-inch TFT display bearing the resolution 480 x 800 pixels. It's powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card. For photography, there's 8MP f/1.9 rear camera with LED flash and is capable of recording 1080p videos, and for selfies it has a 5MP shooter on the front. It runs Android Marshmallow, and supports dual-SIM, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS for connectivity. A 1950mAh battery completes the specs list.
The price of the flip phone is not cheap considering the specs, but then the device is specifically targeted at nostalgia-driven consumers who are fond of flip phones.
