Micromax Canvas 1 with Android Nougat, VoLTE launched for Rs. 6,999
Micromax earlier this year, launched Canvas 2 (2017) with Gorilla Glass 5 display priced at Rs. 11,999. Now it is launching a affordable model dubbed Canvas 1 with 4G VoLTE support and Android Nougat on-board.
Interestingly, its rear camera design is similar to that of Huawei's Y7 that will get you confused, that it has dual-cameras. The setup is horizontally aligned at the top left corner, similar to iPhone 7 Plus and OnePlus 5. However, instead of housing dual-cameras, there's a single camera and flash module.
In terms of specification, the Canvas 1 features 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor backed by Mali T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. Storage on-board is 16GB, which can be expanded via microSD card.
For photography it gets 8MP f/2.2 rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. On the front there's 5MP 85-degree wide-angle selfie shooter assisted by an LED flash, that will give you quality selfies under low-light conditions.
The dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS. A 2500mAh battery runs the show, which offers up to seven hours of talk time, up to 15 hours of music playback and four hours of video playback.
The Micromax Canvas 1 has been priced at Rs. 6,999 and will be available from offline stores across India in Matte Black and Chrome Black colors. The device also comes with 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue, which is a part of the 1-year product warranty.
