Samsung Galaxy S8+ 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant receives price cut


Samsung launched the top end version of Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in India last month for Rs. 74,900, which is Rs. 10,000 more than the 4GB RAM/64GB storage version of Galaxy S8+. However, today, the device has received a price cut of Rs. 4,000.

The 6GB RAM & 128GB storage version now costs Rs. 70,900, and will be available through offline retail stores in Midnight Black color only. The price cut is also reflected in Samsung's official online store as well. The new pricing will be update in leading e-commerce portals like Flipkart soon.

Launch offers are still available including Reliance Jio's double data to all existing and new subscribers, with Rs. 309 or above recharge. The additional data will be credited to the users account within 48 hour, and will reflect in My Jio app. The device will also come bundled with a free wireless charger worth Rs. 4,499, and HFDC card users will get up Rs. 3,000 cashback. Samsung is also offering No Cost EMI option that start from Rs. 4,824.89 per month.

Samsung Galaxy S8+ comes with 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED bezel-less display, which Samsung calls Infinity Display. It is equipped with Exynos 8895 octa-core processor, 12MP Dual Pixel sensor, 8MP front camera and 3500mAh battery. Other features include hybrid dual-SIM slots, fingerprint sensor, iris scanner, heart rate sensor, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, MST (for Samsung Pay) and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It ships with Android Nougat.
