The LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD tablet is lighter than a soda can


LG is expanding its G Pad line of tablet with the G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE, that will succeed last year's G Pad III 8.0. The company touts the tablet to be lighter than a soda can, weighing in at just 290g. It also has a slim design, measuring 6.9mm around the waistline.

The LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE features 5-inch WXGA IPS display with 1920 x 1200 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. The performance is handled by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, further aided by Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, and can be expanded via microSD card (up to 2TB). It comes with 5MP front and rear camera, and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS for connectivity. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery.

For software, the tablet boots Android Nougat, and comes with features like easy-to-view mode, that reduces eye fatigue by reducing blue light emitted by the display; Easy Mode that gives you access to specific apps easily, by pressing the Q button; Knock code that turns on the screen when you tap the screen; and Dual Window, that lets you run two apps side-by-side.

The LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE has been launched in home market of South Korea priced at 352,000 Korean Won ($306 | Rs. 20,000). It will be available from local operator LG U+ in Dark Brown color.
