Android Nougat now hitting Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)


A day after Galaxy A7 (2017) received Android Nougat, the update has now reached Galaxy A5 (2017). Currently the update is rolling out in Russia, and should hit other market in the coming weeks. Earlier it kicked off Nougat for A3 (2017) in Russia as well.

The Nougat update for Galaxy A5 (2017)  improves speed and reliability, and brings native Nougat features like multi-window support, new emoji, along with changes to user interface, enhanced notifications, quick setting button, newer settings menu, Samsung Pass, improved Always On Display function and more.



To check for the update go to the settings menu, then Software update, and hit the download updates manually button. And since this is a major update, and weighs over 1GB make sure your Galaxy A5 (2017) is connected to a stable WiFi connection, and have enough battery battery of at-least 50 percent before beginning the upgrade process.
