Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus gets official


The Moto G5S and G5S Plus, has been made official by Motorola. They are Special editions of the Moto G5 & G5 Plus, which was released back in March and comes with bigger display, improved cameras and an all metal unibody design, crafted from a single piece of high-grade aluminum instead of metal & plastic. 

The Moto G5S features 5.2-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3, a Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and 3000mAh battery with fast charging (get up to five hours of use with just 15 minute charge). It gets a single 16MP  rear camera with PDAF and 5MP wide-angle front camera with an LED flash.

The Moto G5 Plus on the other hand gets a bigger 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, up to 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and 3000mAh battery. There's also a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. 

The main highlight of Moto G5S Plus is the dual-camera setup, with two 13MP units (one color sensor, and the other black-and-white sensor), just like the Moto Z2 Force. The dual-cameras offers features like capturing depth information for bokeh effect, background replacement, and make select part of photo black-and-white. For selfies it gets an LED assisted 8MP wide-angle shooter, and also includes support for NFC connectivity.

They run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and get the front mounted gesture supported front mounted fingerprint scanner, and separate slots for dual-SIM and microSD card.

The Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus have been priced at 249 Euros ($294 | Rs. 19,000) and 299 Euros ($353 | Rs. 26,000)respectively, and comes in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold colors. They will available starting this month in various countries globally, and coming to the US this fall.
