BSNL's new Rs. 429 prepaid plan offers 1GB/day data, unlimited voice calls for 90 days

State-owned telecom operator BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has been launching new prepaid plans for its customers, to counter Jio's enticing tariff plan. The teleco recently announced new combo STVs of Rs. 258, Rs. 378 and Rs. 548. Now it is launching yet another plan for its prepaid users.

BSNL's new prepaid pack costs Rs. 429 and offers 1GB data per day for 90 days (90GB total), along with unlimited STD and local call to all networks. However, users will only be able to browse the internet at 2G or 3G speeds, since BSNL hasn't deployed its 4G network yet.

The Rs. 429 prepaid pack is available on a pan-India basis, except for Kerala circle.

“This Voice & Data Centric Plan is available for Rs. 429/ ie Rs. 143/ per month which gives unlimited voice (Local/STD) on any net and 90 GB data ( @ 1 GB per day) for 90 days, which is the most competitive plan in present market scenario,” said R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL, in a press statement.
