Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) Nougat bug causes charging issues

Samsung rolled out Android Nougat to Galaxy A3 (2016) back in June this year. And for quite some time, owners of the phone running Nougat have been reporting issues while charging.

According to SamMobile, Galaxy A3 (2016) owners are reporting of a bug in the Nougat build that prevents the device from charging beyond 87 percent. Some users have tried methods like clearing the cache, swapping chargers, charging in safe mode, and even a full factory reset, and other methods, but none of them have fixed the issue.

While Samsung is yet to address the issue, some users are saying they have been informed that a hotfix patch will be sent out soon. However, a specific time-frame of the roll out is not known.

That said, according to some users the workaround for the issue is downgrading from Android Nougat to Marshmallow 6.0.1, and the battery recharges fully.
