Huawei Maimang 6 goes official with full screen display, dual front & rear cameras
As expected Huawei has officially announced Maimang 6, its latest mid-range offering in China. With the Maimang 6, Huawei enters the bezel-less territory. It is Huawei's first smartphone to sport near-bezel less design and comes with four cameras.
The Huawei Maimang 6 flaunts full metal unibody design and has 5.9-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with minimal bezels on the sides. It is powered by octa-core Kirin 659 processor, and comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
For photography, it gets four camera, two each, at back and front. The main camera has 16MP and 2MP sensor and is assisted by dual-tone LED flash. On the front there's 13MP and a 2MP sensor and is accompanied by soft LED flash, for improved low light photography. The dual-camera work together to capture depth information to create bokeh effects.
In terms of connectivity, the Maimang 6 includes hybrid dual-SIM slot, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and NFC. It runs Android Nougat based EMUI 5.1 and is fueled by 3340mAh battery. Color options include Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold and Aurora Blue.
The Huawei Maimang 6 has been priced at CNY 2399 ($364 | Rs. 23,600) and is now up for pre-order in China, and will start shipping from September 30.
According to reports, the Maimnag 6 will launch globally as Mate 10 Lite on October 16, alongside Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. However, it will run the latest Android Oreo based EMUI skin and carry a price tag of 379 Euros ($455 | Rs. 30,000)
