HTC U11 Plus leaked render shows off its design

HTC has scheduled an event on November 2, where the Taiwanese device maker is likely to launch its first near bezel-free flagship called HTC U11 Plus. Now ahead of the official announcement, Steve Hemmerstoffer in collaboration with CouponRaja has shared CAD based render and 360-degree of the U 11 Plus, showing it from all possible angles.

As seen in the render, the HTC U11 Plus will flaunt the same 'Liquid surface" as U11 at the back, which is a unique glass coloring technique to achieve mirror-like finish. The front panel will be dominated by the screen, for a Full screen display.

Even though it has very slim bezels on the sides, the top and bottom chin have thick bezels, when compared with the likes of Galaxy S8/S8+/Note8 and LG G6/V30, but slimmer than the regular phones. In order the get the bezel-free design, HTC got rid of the Home/fingerprint button, and moved the fingerprint scanner to the back.

The source further says that HTC U11 Plus will sport 6-inch display, and ditch the 3.5mm audio jack in favor of USB Type-C port. This is no surprise, given the fact that most of HTC's recently released handsets don't have 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is said to have dimensions of 158.2mm (l) x 74.66mm (w) x 9.1mm (d). Also HTC will be sticking with single camera, and the U11 Plus will have U11/Pixel 2 like Edge Sense squeezable frame.

Meanwhile HTC U11 Plus was spotted on GFXBench revealing most of its specs. Additionally ROM developer LlabTooFeR has revealed the battery capacity of the phone. This is what the U11 Plus specs sheet will look like:

HTC U11 Plus possible specifications
  • 6-inch QHD+ 1440 x 2880 px display with 18:9 aspect ratio
  • Snapdragon 835 processor
  • 4GB/6GB RAM
  • 64GB/128GB internal storage
  • 12MP/8MP rear and front camera
  • Android Oreo

That's pretty much everything known about the U11 Plus. We can expect more details to leak in the coming days, before the official announcement, that's set for November 2.
