Pixel Buds wireless earphone supports Google Assistant and can translate speech in real-time

Google has announced Pixel Buds, its first set of earphone, optimized for use with the Google Assistant. It's worth mentioning that the earphone is not integrated with Assistant, instead you will have to pair them to your phone to access Assistant.

The Pixel Bud's audio/Assistant control is built into a touchpad on the right earbud.  So, to trigger Google Assistant, you'll have tap and hold the right earbud, and ask it to play music, make a phone call or get direction, all without the need of using your phone. You can also swipe forward or backward the right earbud to control volume and tap to play or pause the music.

One of the interesting feature of the Pixel Buds is that, it can translate between languages in real time using Google Translate on Pixel device. For instance, "say you're in Italy, and want to order pasta, all you have to do is hold down on the right earbud and say "Help me speak Italian". And as you talk, you Pixel phone's speaker will play the translation in Italian out loud. When the waiter responds in Italian, you'll hear the translation through the Pixel buds." There is support for a total of 40 languages.

Google claims that the Pixel buds will last five hours on a single charge. It also comes with a charging case, that can power the wireless earphones for up to 24 hours.

The Pixel Buds is priced at $159, and comes in Just Black, Clearly White and Kinda Blue colors. It is up for pre-order today and be available in November in the U.S, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia and Singapore.
