Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2017) receives second price cut (India)


Samsung's upper mid-range Galaxy A series phones, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) has received their second price cut in India, ahead of Diwali. They were launched in India for Rs. 26,900 and 30,900, and two months later got Rs. 5,000 price cut, and till now were retailing at Rs. 22,900 (A5) and Rs. 25,900 (A7).

Now according to Mumbai-based offline retailer Mahesh Telecom, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) has received another Rs. 5,000 price cut, and are now available for Rs. 17,990 and Rs. 20,990, making them more appealing for purchase.

To recap, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) flaunts a metal & glass design similar to that of Galaxy S7, and boasts IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The Galaxy A5 (2017) comes with 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 1.9Ghz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP f/1.9 front and rear cameras with low-light optimization and 3000mAh battery.

The Galaxy A7 (2017) has the same specs as Galaxy A5 (2017), but gets a bigger 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display and 3600mAh battery.

Some of the other notable common features are home button integrated fingerprint sensor, NFC, Samsung Pay, fast charging, 4G VoLTE, and dual-SIM slots. They runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but an upgrade to Nougat is ready.
