Motorola Moto X Force with ShatterShield display launched in India, price starts at Rs. 49,999


Motorola has launched the Moto X Force in India. The phone was introduced as the international variant of the Droid Turbo 2 in October last year.

The Moto X Force comes in two variants - the 32GB storage vairant has been priced at Rs. 49,999, and the 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 53,999. It will be available from Flipkart, Amazon India, Spice Hotospot and Croma starting February 8. 

The unique feature of Moto X force is the "ShatterShield", the world's first shatterproof display which is made out of aluminium rigid core, flexible AMOLED screen and dual-layer tocuhscreen panels. The display is guaranteed not to crack or shatter for up to 4 years. Motorola claims that the phone's display won't break even when dropped on a slab of concrete. It also comes with water repellent nano coating technology.

The Moto X Force comes with 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED display with Moto Shattershield and is equipped with Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB RAM. For imaging, there is 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash as well, for capturing better images event in low lighting conditions. The rear camera can capture 4K videos. Other features include Hybrid dual SIM slot (SIM + SIM or SIM + microSD card (up to 2TB), 4G LTE, NFC, and 3760mAh battery with Turbo charging, PMA and Qi Wireless charging. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollopop, and is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Motorola Moto X Force price, launch details tipped

Motorola is said to be working on a 'shatterproof' smartphone codenamed Bounce (courtesy of @Upleaks). The phone will be called Moto X Force. 

Motorola Moto X Force will borrow its design from the new Motorola phones, Moto X Play and Moto X Style which were launched back in July this year. The phone is said to have a shatterproof design which indicates it could have a MIL-STD rating.
As for specs, Moto X Force is tipped to feature 5.43-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display and will be powered by 2GHz Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage capacity. It will sport 21-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front shooter, and will be backed by a 3760mAh battery. The device will mostly run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Motorola is also rumored to bring Moto Maker customization option.

The Motorola Moto X Force is expected to launch in December and will carry the price tag CNY 4000 (Rs. 42,000).
