Apple iPad mini 4 now available in India, prices start at Rs. 28,900

The Apple iPad mini 4 was introduced alongside the 12.9-inch iPad Pro in September this year. Now the iPad mini 4 is available for purchase from online retailer Infibeam.

Apple's iPad mini 4 comes in Silver, Gold and Grey colors. The Wi-Fi-only edition of the slate with 16GB, 64GB and 128GB internal storage has been priced at Rs. 28,900, Rs. 35,900, and Rs. 42,900. The WiFi + Cellular editions of the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants costs Rs. 38,900, Rs. 45,900 and Rs. 52,900 respectively.

You can use the promo code CARNIVAL6 and get a discount of 6 percent (up to Rs. 2,000) on Infibeam. The online retailer will ship the iPad mini 4 WiFi version in 2 to 3 days, and the WiFi + Cellular version in 4 to 6 days.

The Apple iPad mini 4 sports a 7.9-inch Retina Display with a fingerprint-resistant Oleophobic coating. It is powered by 64-bit Apple A8 SoC, aided by an M8 motion co-processor. The tablet is equipped with an 8-megapixel iSight full HD rear camera, and a 1.2-megapixel HD front camera. It is backed by a 5,124mAh battery, which the brand promises will deliver 10 hours of web-browsing. It also has Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n), MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and GLONASS.

The Apple iPad mini 4 is also expected to go on sale via authorized Apple retailers offline soon.

Apple iPad mini 4 India price details

Apple held its fall media event, 'Hey Siri' on September 9, in which it announced iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Apple TV, iPad Pro, Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil. The one announcement, that got the least amount of airtime (30 seconds) at the event was the iPad mini 4.

The iPad Mini 4 sports similar internals as iPad Air 2. Apple announced the U.S pricing of the iPad mini 4 at the event, but did not reveal details about the India price. Now, NDTV Gadgets claims to have the pricing details of the iPad mini 4 for the Indian market.

The WiFi only 16GB, 64GB and 128GB model is said to be priced at Rs. 28,900, Rs. 35,900 and Rs. 42,900 accordingly. The WiFi + Cellular 16GB, 64GB and 128GB model will cost Rs. 38,900, Rs. 45,900 and Rs. 52,900 accordingly. Unfortunately there is no word when the tablet will be available.

The iPad mini 4 Smart Cover by Apple - available in Charcoal Gray, White, Midnight Blue, Red, Stone, Blue, Orange, Pink, Lavender, and Turquoise colours - will cost Rs. 2,900 in India. The iPad mini 4 Silicone Case (available in the same colours as the Smart Cover) is priced at Rs. 4,900.
