To take on Reliance Jio's JioPhone and Airtel's 'Mera Pehla 4G smartphone' initiative, Vodafone India collaborated with Micromax to launch an affordable 4G phone dubbed Bharat 2 Ultra 4G at an effective price of Rs. 999.
And now Vodafone India is expanding the partnership and has joined hands with itel Mobile, to launch the itel A20. The phone carries a price tag of Rs. 3,690, but Vodafone will offer it at an effective price of Rs. 1,590.
The drill is same as before. To get the itel A20 at the effective price of Rs. 1,590, you will have to first make a payment of Rs. 3,690 upfront. This means you've to pay Rs. 2100 extra, which you'll get back as cashback later, given that you make a recharge of Rs. 150 or more per month for 36 months without fail.
The Rs. 1200 cash back is divided into two parts. First you'll get Rs. 900 at the end of the first 18 months, and you'll receive the remaining Rs. 1,200 cash back after another 18 months. You will receive the cashback in the Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.
Talking about the itel A20's specifications, it comes with 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 2MP/0.3MP camera and 1700mAh battery. The phone runs Android Nougat, support 4G VoLTE, and has seperate slots for dual-SIM and microSD card.
The itel A20 comes in Champagne Gold, Dark Blue and Silver hues.
Hong-Kong based itel Mobile has launched an enhanced version of Wish A41, which was released in the India earlier this year, with double RAM and storage. The new itel Wish A41+ comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage instead of 1GB RAM/8GB storage. Apart from these changes the rest of the specs are same.
The itel Wish A41+ features 5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 2400mAh battery, microSD card slot, dual-SIM slots and 2400mAh battery.
It has 5MP front and rear camera both accompanied by dedicated LED flash, and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi and Bluetooth. It has a fingerprint sanner at the back, and runs Android Marshmallow out of the box.
It also comes with a SOS button and dedicated SmartKey, which can be tuned to perform various actions like snapping photos, activate torch and manage calls.
The itel Wish A41+ is priced at Rs. 6,590 and will be available from retail stores across the country in mocha and champagne colors.
itel Mobiles is launching a new entry-level smartphone in India called itel Wish A21. It comes with dual-SIM slots, support for 4G LTE, VoLTE (Voice over LTE) & ViLTE (Video over LTE), and runs Android Marshmallow.
The itel Wish A21 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display (480 x 854 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB on-board storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
It comes with 5MP rear camera with flash, 2MP front facing camera for selfies, WiFi, Bluetooth and 2000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to eight hours of 4G talktime and up to 182 hours of standby time.
The device also boasts features like SOS, dual social-media accounts (dual WhatsApp, dual Instagram, and dual Facebook) and auto call-recorder.
The itel Wish A21 carries a price tag of Rs. 5,390 and will be available via both online and offline stores in Grey, Champagne and Coffee color. The device will come bundled with a screen protector and a back cover.

The itel Wish A41 is priced at Rs. 5,840 and comes in Champagne, Calx and Rose Gold colors.
Hong Kong based itel Mobile has launched a new entry-level 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone under its selfie pro line up called it518. The phone has a premium look sporting a textured sleek body that comes in Black, White and Champagne.
The itel it518 features 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
It packs 8MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera, both accompanied by auto-focus, flash and beauty mode. In terms of connectivity there's dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, 3G, GPS, USB OTG and Bluetooth. The phone runs Android Marshmallow and gets juice to run from 2500mAh battery, which promises up to nine hours of talk time and 357 hours of standby time.
The itel it518 has been priced at Rs. 7,550 and is available from retail stores across the country.
There is a new player in the Indian smartphone marker, targeting the mid-range segment. Hong Kong based Transsion Holdings' mobile brand itel Mobile has forayed into India, bringing six phones in the range of Rs 700 to Rs 7,000.
These include SmartSelfie it2180, SmartSelfie it5231, SmartPower it5600 feature phones and Wish it1508, SelfiePro it1511, PowerPro it1410 smartphones. Initially, itel will cover North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar,
Jharkhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and
Uttarakhand and follow it up with North West region of the country,
including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The Wish it1508, SelfiePro it1511 and PowerPro it1410 smartphones have
been priced at Rs 3,899, Rs 6,999 and Rs 3,339 respectively. The
SmartSelfie it2180, SmartSelfie it5231 and SmartPower it5600 feature
phones will be available for Rs 839, Rs 1,296 and Rs 973 respectively.
