Sony Launch Xperia Z4 Tablet with 10.1-inch 2K display and Snapdragon 810


Sony launched the Xperia Z4 tablet at the ongoing MWC 2015. The tablet is succssor to the Xperia Z2 tablet. The main highlights of the tablet is its elegant design with a metal frame, durable glass and sleek  6.1mm profile.

The Xperia Z4 tablet will be available in Wi-Fi only and 4G LTE variants. It has IP65 and IP68 certification and can be immersed in water up to 5 feet (1.5-meter) for as long as 30 minutes.

Sony Xperia Z4 tablet sports a 10.1-inch OPS Triluminos display with 2560x1600 pixels screen resolution  with scratch resistant glass. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU.

The tablet packs 3GB RAM and houses 32GB inbuilt storage [microSD card support up to 128GB]. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with an Exmor RS sensor and 5-megapixel front facing camera with wide angle lens. Audio features include Hi-Res audio playback support, digital noise cancellation, Sony 3D Surround Sound technology (VPT), Clear Audio+, and xLoud tech.

Connectivity options on the tablet include 4G LTE (Nano-SIM), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Direct and hotspot functionality, Bluetooth v4.1 with A2DP, GPS/ A-GPS with GLONASS, NFC, FM radio with RDS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by non-removable 6000mAh battery. It comes with a cap-less microUSB port for easier recharging.
Sony also launched three accessories  for the Xperia Z4 tablet that include Sony BKB50 Bluetooth keyboard, SRC32 tablet cover (acts like flip case and stand) and Sony BSP60 smart Bluetooth speaker. The Bluetooth keyboard docks with the tablet to create a laptop-tablet hybrid and features a touch pad and a variety of ports.

The LTE and Wi-Fi variant of Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet will be available worldwide in June this year. Pricing details is not yet announced.
