Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Launched In India, To Go On Sale In January, Priced at Rs 64,900

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has been launched in India. The Galaxy Note Edge was officially launched during IFA in September and had announced that the handset will be available in select markets. Later, Samsung confirmed that the handset was a limited edition concept and 1 million units of the Galaxy Note Edge will be available across the globe.

The handset uses Samsung's flexible-display technology. The display bends towards its right side. Adjoining the bent display is a 5.6-inch 2K resolution SUPER AMOLED screen while the secondary display bears a resolution of 160 pixels. The display on the side show several cool features like weather, time, music, email and more.

Coming to the internal specs The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is powered by a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor coupled with Adreno 420 GPU and paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB inbuit storage. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Camera features include 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera function on the Galaxy Note Edge is like a stand-alone, point-and-shoot camera, as the shutter button appear on top when phone is held horizontally.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS/ Glonass, NFC, Bluetooth v4.0, IR LED, USB 2.0, and MHL 3.0. The handset is backed by 3000mAh battery. The device measures 151.3x82.4x8.3mm, weighs 174 grams. The Galaxy Note Edge also features an accelerometer, geo-magnetic sensor, gyroscope, RGB, IR-LED, proximity, barometer, hall sensor, finger scanner, UV, heart rate monitor.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in two colour variants - Charcol Black or Frost White. The handset will be available through select retailers starting first week of January for Rs. 64,900.
