Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G to go on sale via Flipkart on December 30th in Inida, Registration Now Open

Following the ban lifted on Xiaomi, the Chinese company resumed its operations in India. Yesterday 50,000 units of the Redmi 1s went on flash sale via Flipkart and was out of stock in 30 minutes.

On Tuesday, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 4G will be available in India through Flipkart via flash sale on December 30 at 2pm IST. There is no word on how many units will be up for purchase. The registration will begin from Tuesday 6pm IST via Flipkart.

The Redmi Note 4G will also be available in Airtel stores in six cities. Customers will have to register seperately to buy a Redmi Note 4G from Airtel outlets. The handset is listed on Airtel's website, and registrations are expected to open very soon.

Coming to the specs the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G features 5.5-inch 720x1280-pixel IPS LCD display and is powered by quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU and paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB Internal storage with microSD card suppot (upto 64GB). The handset runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with MIUIv5 skin on top. Other features include a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,100mAh battery.

To recap Xiaomi was banned from selling its handsets in India for infringing Ericsson's patents. Last week the Delhi High court lifted the ban and Xiaomi resumed its sales operations. The terms specified allow the company to sell Qualcomm-powered smartphones in India until January 8th.
