Xiaomi reportedly working on a Laptop - It's Fake
The Xiaomi Brand seems to have become a familiar name which has been quite successful with their smartphone devices. Now a new report from Gizmo China says that Xiaomi is all set to enter the PC segment with launch of its laptop.
Also leaked was the alleged image of the laptop with Mi branding. The design of the laptop looks similar to Apple's Macbook air range with same colour scheme, bezel size and other details.
According to Gizmo China the laptop will feature a large 15-inch screen with 1920x1080 screen resolution. The laptop will carry the Intel Haswell processor (Core i7-4500U) and feature 8GB DDR2 RAM. The site also claims that the laptop will be priced at as low as CNY 2,999 (Rs. 30,700, $500). The report also says that the laptop will run a "customised Linux OS".
We will have to wait for an official statement from Xiaomi to confirm whether this report is true or flase.
Update : The images are fake as it belongs to a reference design laptop [Check Source]. Thanks to photoshop someone just simply applied a logo of Mi on the Laptop and posted online.
