Samsung announces ATIV Book 9 2015 Laptop and Series 7 AIO PC


Just a week ahead of CES 2015 Las Vegas, Samsung announced two new laptops - ATIV Book 9 2015 and Series 7 AIO laptop. Both the laptops will be showcased on January 5 during CES 2015 Las Vegas where Samsung is scheduled to hold an event.

Samsung claims that the ATIV Book 9 2015 is said to be the thinnest and lightest laptop with just 0.46-inch thickness and 0.94 kg weight. The laptop features a 12.2-inch WQXGA display with a screen resolution of 2560x1600 pixels with Hyper Real Display technology that delivers an optimised image quality that includes outdoor mode and Adaptive display. The Laptop offers Windows 8.1 and runs on 64-bit dual-core Interl Core M-5Y10C processor (4MB Cache, 800MHz Base Frequency, 2GHz Max Turbo Frequency, 4 Threads) with Intel HD Graphics 5300 paired with 4GB RAM or 8GB RAM. Other features include Wi-Fi, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, and up to 256GB of solid state drive storage. The laptop offers up to 10.5 hours of battery life.

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 2015 will go on sale early 2015. It will be available in two variant 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD for $1,199 (Rs. 76,000), and the other with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD for $1,399 (Rs.90,000).


Additionally Samsung also announced the ATIV One 7, the brand's first curved screen display PC. The AIO 7 features a 27-inch full-HD curved display to provide immersive viewing experience. The laptop runs Windows 8.1 and is powered by Intel Core i5 CPU paired with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM with 128GB SDD storage and 1TB HDD. The AIO 7 also features a 10W speaker with Dolby Home Theatre technology, a full HD video camera on top of the display and Samsung's Side Sink 3.0 that lets users utilize mobile devices as the PC's keyboard and mouse.

The ATIV One 7 is priced at $1,299 (Rs. 78,000) and is expected to go on sale in Q1 2015.
