40,000 Units Of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G sold out on Flipkart in 6 seconds

The success story of Xiaomi continues in India. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G went on sale for the first time via Flipkart in India today. The sale began at 2pm and 40,000 units which were up for sale, went out of stock in just six seconds.

The announcement was made in Xiaomi's India Head Manu Kumar Jain on his Twitter account.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G was the second device to go on after Delhi High court lifted the ban on Xiaomi following Ericsson's allegation of copyright infringement.The terms specified allow the company to sell Qualcomm-powered smartphones in India until January 8th. The Qualcomm-powered Redmi 1s went on sale last week. The Redmi Note with 3G support was banned from selling, since it used a MediaTek chipset.

To recap, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display and is powered by quad-core 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU and paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB Internal storage with microSD card suppot (upto 64GB). The handset runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with MIUIv5 skin on top. Other features include a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,100mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs. 9,999.
