Xolo launched its new Omega series Smartphone in two variants dubbed Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 in India. The devices feature curved back panels and rounded edges. The company also revealed that Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be rolled out to Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 users.

The Omega 5.0 sports 5.0-inch 720 display and is 1.4 GHz octa-core MTK6592M processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB memory with microSD support. Camera features include 8 megapixel Sony EXMOR R sensor with LED flash on the back and 2 megapixel camera on the front and 2100mAh battery.

The Omega 5.5 has similar hardware features but a bigger 5.5-inch 720p display, a 13 megapixel Sony EXMOR R sensor rear camera and a 2600mAh battery.

Both the devices are  dual-SIM compatible and offer connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The device comes with HIVE UI running atop Android KitKat.

The company also announced Vodafone offers for the phones. Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5. The Omega 5.0 will get free 500MB of free data whereas Omega 5.5 will get 1 GB of free data and unlimited music content on Vodafone Music for two months.

Xolo Omega 5.0 is priced at Rs 8999 and will be available from December 10 while the Omega 5.5 is priced at Rs 9999 and will start selling on December 20.
