Google's Next Android Maintenance Release Due In March, Is This The Android 5.1 Lollipop ?

Last year in December, purported change-log of Android 5.1 surfaced online. The change-log had included several fixes and improvements for system availability, RAM, battery management, wireless connection issue and other minor changes and bug fixes. Later is was spotted running on many Android One devices in Asia, but Google has not yet announced anything about the Android  Lollipop 5.1 update.

Now, according To HTC's VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, Google will release the next build of Android 5.0 Lollipop in March.

This revelation was made on Versi's twitter account, in response to a query of a A HTC One M7 Google Play Edition owner about a bug fix for the capacitive button lights he was waiting for.

Versi tweeted saying that "It'll be tied to Google's next MR, which is in March." MR stands for maintenance release which means we need not expect anything new apart from bug fixes.

At the moment nothing official is known about the Android 5.1 Lollipop. It looks like the MR update to fix the bugs of the Android 5.0 coming in March is reportedly the Android 5.1.
