Microsoft outs list of devices eligible for the upcoming Windows 10 for phones build

The first build of Windows 10 Technical preview for phones released on 12 February  and was limited to devices such as Lumia 630, 635, 636, 638, 730 and 830.

Now, Microsoft in a blog post said that the next build of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones will support a lot more devices.

The blog post  explains that the reason for having few select device from the set of phones was due to the system partition sizes configured by the manufactures. However, the problem has been resolved by implementing a feature called partition stitching Microsoft can now re-size the system partition dynamically and support a larger set of phone.

Microsoft also released a list of devices that it expects to support the Windows 10 technical preview in the next flight.

It is worth noting that the Windows 10 technical preview is being tested on these devices, if Microsoft finds any bugs on any phone, than that phone will be pulled from the list.

The blog post added "If a phone isn’t listed here (the Lumia 930) it is likely because we have found such a bug, but it MAY get fixed before the next flight."
