OnePlus Power Bank with 10,000mAh battery goes on sale in the US, Coming soon to India and Europe

OnePlus on its first anniversary in December, last year had announced a 10,000mAh Power Bank. The power bank was expected to go on sale on early 2015, but it got delayed.

Now the 10,000 mAh OnePlus Power Bank is on sale in the U.S via its official online store. As for Europe and India, the company is working out the logistics process for a smoother shipping experience, so we can expect it to launch soon.

Regarding the shipping process, on its official forum, OnePlus said

"Some of you may be aware that shipping “pure batteries” (any battery that is not connected to or inside another product) is extremely complex due to the special shipping requirements. This led to high shipping costs for the batteries, which would’ve resulted in a more expensive product, and a customer experience not on par with OnePlus standards. We wouldn’t ask our fans to settle for anything less. So, we are looking into alternative methods that will bring the Power Banks to European fans without compromising the cost."

As for the availability delay OnePlus says-

"Processing battery certifications (FCC, CE, and battery compliance) is very time sensitive. Since each country in our global market has different requirements and regulations, all battery certifications used different procedures and were not finalized as quickly as we had hoped. Each one needed to be completed individually before moving forward, and this resulted in the wait."

OnePlus power bank offers a battery capacity of 10,000mAh. The power bank comes with a host of safety features- protection against electrostatic, short-circuit, overcharging, and overheating. The power bank features two USB ports for simultaneous charging.
