Xiaomi working on a $65 smartphone, specs and photo leaked
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new entry level budget Android smartphone. A leaked image online indicates that Xiaomi will launch a new budget smartphone soon, although the name of the handset is not yet revealed.
The device in the leaked image resembles Redmi 2. The rumored specs are also quite similar, the only notable difference is the processor.
The rumored Xiaomi device features 4.7-inch 720p disaplay and is powered by a quad-core Lead Core LCI LC1860C CPU (Redmi 2 was powered by Snapdragon 410 chipset) with Mali T628 GPU. It houses 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage and microSD card slot. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
Imaging is handled by an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It will feature the usual suite of connectivity options that include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n,
Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS for navigation.
The said Xiaomi device will come with a price tag of CNY 399 (Rs. 4000 | $65).
