Acer announces Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A30) for Education with Android 5.0 Lollipop starting at $299
Acer has announced a new tablet called Iconia Tab 10 for education. The tablet is part of the Google for Education scheme bringing accessible technology and richer resources to classrooms
The Iconia Tab 10 for education features 10.1-inch Full HD (1920x1200 pixels) IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology. The display is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 panel with reinforced mechanical design to withstand daily classroom use. It is also fitted with Acer's Precision Plus sensors for greater accuracy for writing, sketching with stylus.
It also comes with Reading mode which reduces the blue light emission by up to 60 percent for less eye strain.
The tablet is powered by 1.83 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor paired with 2GB DDR3 RAM. It comes in three storage options 16GB, 32GB and 64GB and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. The internal storage can be expanded via microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB cards.
Camera features include 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity features include USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Iconia Tab 10 for education comes with software features like ote-taking app EZ Note, screenshot capture app EZ Snap, gesture wake-up app EZ WakeUp, and the EZ Gadget widget for quick access to essential tools.
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 for education is priced at $299 in the U.S. and €299 in parts of Europe and will be available starting in May. It comes with optional accessories which include stylus, protective film, bumper case, protective sleeve and wireless keyboard dock.
