Huawei MediaPad M2 with 8-inch display unveiled in France

Huawei silently unveiled its latest tablet, MediaPad M2. The tablet was showcased at the company's official store in Central Paris.

The Huawei MediaPad M2 sports an 8-inch full-HD (1920x1200 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Kirin 930 processor paired with 2GB RAM. The tablet comes with 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion UI (EMUI) 3.1 on top.

Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include support for 4G LTE Cat 4. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC. 

A 4800mAh battery runs the Huawei MediaPad M2. It measures 7.8mm thick, weighs 310 grams and will be available in Silver, Gold and Gray color.

Huawei's MediaPad M2 (Wi-Fi + 4G) is priced at €349 (Rs.25,000 | $390) and will go on sale in France in June and will be available to more markets in July. There is also a Wi-Fi only variant that costs €279 (Rs. 20,000 | $ 310).
