Micromax Canvas Tabby, the family tab with dual mode for kids and parents launched for Rs. 6,499



Micromax Canvas Tabby P469 is an educative tablet aimed at making learning fun for children. It features dual-use mode for parents and kids. In the parent mode, it can be used as a fully functional Android tablet while the kids mode provides access to over 100 apps and 500 videos covering education, creativity and entertainment, as well as parental control system. 

With parental control system, parents can limit the time of usage of the tablet, to foster learning skills and monitor internet accessibility of the child. Parents can also get details on what the kid is doing in tablet via regular reports and block or filter contents. Some of the creativity and educational apps include Kids Paint Wild Animals, Kids Paint Vehicles, Kids Spell And Learn Fruits, Kids Spell And Learn Body Parts, and more.
The kids-use mode is powered by EddyPaddy and developed by kids-content company Educren. The OS is specially designed for kids between the age of 2 to 8 years and you can create a profile for your child and get age-specific content.

Micromax Canvas Tabby P469 features 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) TFT display and is powered by 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek 8312 processor paired with 1GB RAM. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

It sports 2-megapixel rear camera and VGA front facing camera. Connectivity features include 3G (with voice calling, Wi-Fo, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual-SIM supports. It is fuelled by 3200mAh battery and comes in White color only.


The Micromax Canvas Tabby is priced at Rs. 6,499 and can be purchased via Flipkart from June 22, followed by other online and retail channels in the third week of July across India.
