Videocon VA81M voice-calling tablet launched for Rs. 4,900

Videocon VA81M is a voice-calling tablet, launched in India. It comes with dual-SIM support and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. The Videocon VA81M tab offers "a flawless gaming and multimedia experience to enable an engaging user experience," said Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones

The Videocon VA81M sports 7-inch HD (1280 x720 pixels) multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core (unspecified) processor paired with 512MB RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage and can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB. Camera features include 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing camera. Connectivity features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and aGPS. It is fuelled by 3000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 96 hours of standby time and up to 8 hours of talk-time.

The tablet comes pre-loaded with apps like V-Safe (designed for emergency purposes to contact family and friends), V-Secure (anti-virus app), and Opera Mini.

Videocon's VA81M is priced at Rs. 4,990 and is available to buy via e-commerce websites in the country.
