ZTE to unveil Axon Phone with 4GB RAM, Dual-Lens camera on July 14
Following the success of Nubia in Asian markerts, ZTE is prepping to launch yet another sub-brand, targeted at the U.S market for now. Dubbed 'Axon', the first phone under this brand will be unveiled at an event in New York city on July 14.
ZTE has also put up a teaser page of the smartphone revealing some information about its specifications. Axon will pack 4GB RAM, making it one of the select few phones to sport such a large amount of memory.
Axon Phones will house dual-lens camera solution with dual-LED flash. The dual-lens camera offers users quick auto-focus and recognise depth-of-field. Users can refocus the image after clicking, so that they can easily blur the background. The camera can also shoot 4K resolution videos. The front shooter can detect user's smile to capture the image. The phone will also feature Hi-Fi audio playback and recording via twin microphones using the "best in noise suppression technology"
The teaser page of the phones adds that the Axon will be fueled by a large battery for all-round high performance under the hood. The UI is simplistic with full-bleed images. Also mentioned is a lightning fast prcessor and the smartphone is designed in the U.S.
The smartphone will sport a metallic body and threre is speaker grilles at top and bottom of the display. It will be available in three colors - Phthalo Blue, Ion Gold and Chromium Silver. The contest page on the teaser website, under its competition rules section, reveals the approximate retail value of the Axon to be $450 (Rs. 29,000).
