LG's Lollipop-powered flip phone 'Wine Smart' is made for international markets


Last month, LG launched a new flip phone called Gentle. Now the company has introduced the same smartphone as LG Wine Smart, targeting global consumers who are crazy for folder or clamshell design of phones.

The LG Wine Smart features 3.2-inch (320 x 480 pixels) LCD touch screen display and there is a T9 keyboard. Inside there is an 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor paired with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 4GB and there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and supports 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. Camerawise it sports, 3-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel VGA front facing camera.  It is fueled by 1700mAh battery and comes in Navy and Burgundy colors with leather like finish on rear panel.

The LG Wine Smart will be released later this month in select market including France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Kazakhstan and Japan followed by other region. The availability and pricing details will be announced locally at the time of launch. It is already available in Korea as Gentle for 200,000 South Korean Won (US$ 170 | Rs. 11,000).
