Acer convertible Chromebook R11 announced, coming in October for $299
Acer has unveiled its first convertible Chromebook, Chromebook R11 at IFA 2015 in Berlin. It comes equipped with Acer's patented 360 degrees dual-torque hinge design enabling to manipulate the display to any degree. It can be used in four modes- notebook, tablet, tent and display.
Acer Chromebook R11 features 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 768) touchscreen display. The LED-backlit LCD screen has integrated 10-point touch offering several easy gestures like Swipe, Tap, and Pinch to Zoom.
Chromebook R11 is equipped with Intel Celeron processor (N3150 or N3050) and packs 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. There's also an HDR-capable webcam, 2×2 MIMO, WiFi and 802.11ac and USB 3.0 ports on board. It comes in White and Black color.
The Acer Chromebook R11 will be available in North America in October with prices starting from $299. It will also be available in EMEA starting in November at prices starting at €299.
