Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE launched in India for Rs. 39,400

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE, the latest tablet in the Galaxy Tab S series in India. The company calls it the world's slimmest tablet, with a 5.6mm thickness. The tablet has 4G LTE support, comes with voice calling capabilities and has a built-in scanner on the home button.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 features 9.7-inch (2048×1536 pixel) 4:3 QXGA Super AMOLED display and is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 5433 (four cores with 1.9GHz + four cores with 1.3GHz) processor paired with Mali T760MP6 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB and there is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front facing camera. On the connectivity front it supports 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS and GLONASS. It is fueled by 5780mAh battery and comes in Gold, Black and White colors.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is priced at Rs. 39,400 in India. Samsung has teamed up with Airtel to offer free 2GB of 4G Internet data per month for two months for the tablet owners. The tablet also  comes pre-loaded with Galaxy Gifts worth Rs. 31,000 that includes access to premium apps from News, Entertainment, Productivity, and more for a limited period.
