Apple iPhone 6s, 6s Plus now available in India
Apple has started selling the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India and as expected eager customers queued up outside major Apple stores at midnight to get their hands on the new iPhones. It is the fastest iPhone rollout ever in India with the new iPhones going on sale less than a month after being launched in the U.S.
Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is offered in Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold colors. They come in in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The iPhone 6s 62,000, Rs. 72,000 and Rs. 82,000 for 16GB, 64GB and 128GB versions, respectively, while the iPhone 6s Plus is priced at Rs. 72,000, Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB versions, respectively.
The new iPhone are already available from online retailers- Flipkart, Amazon India, Infibeam and other. They are also available from Airtel stores, Croma stores, Reliance stores and authorized resellers. Vodafone has tied up with Amazon India to bundle Vodafone Red 1299 plan worth Rs 8,885 for 6 months free of cost on purchase of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus from Amazon India. Airtel is also offering an iPhone Infinity plan for its postpaid subscribers, which offers 60GB of free 4G data for one year.
Apple's iPhone 6s and Iphone 6s Plus have 4.7-inch (1334 x 750 pixels) and 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) displays, respectively with new 3D Touch technology which senses the pressure you apply to the display to offer different actions. They are equipped with A9 processor with M9 motion co-processor with 2GB RAM.
For imaging, there is 12-megapixel iSight camera with 4K video recording support and 5-megapixel front facing camera with Retina Flash. It runs on the latest iOS 9, packs Qualcomm MDM9634M LTE Cat. 6 modem for faster LTE speeds and support for 23 LTE bands.
