Apple has started selling the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in India and as expected eager customers queued up outside major Apple stores at midnight to get their hands on the new iPhones. It is the fastest iPhone rollout ever in India with the new iPhones going on sale less than a month after being launched in the U.S.
Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is offered in Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold colors. They come in in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants. The iPhone 6s 62,000, Rs. 72,000 and Rs. 82,000 for 16GB, 64GB and 128GB versions,
respectively, while the iPhone 6s Plus is priced at Rs. 72,000, Rs.
82,000 and Rs. 92,000 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB versions,
respectively.
The new iPhone are already available from online retailers- Flipkart, Amazon India, Infibeam and other. They are also available from Airtel stores, Croma stores, Reliance stores and authorized resellers. Vodafone has tied up with Amazon India to bundle Vodafone Red 1299 plan worth Rs 8,885 for 6 months free of cost on purchase of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus from Amazon India. Airtel is also offering an iPhone Infinity plan for its postpaid subscribers, which offers 60GB of free 4G data for one year.
Apple's iPhone 6s and Iphone 6s Plus have 4.7-inch (1334 x 750 pixels) and 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) displays, respectively with new 3D Touch technology which senses the pressure you apply to the display to offer different actions. They are equipped with A9 processor with M9 motion co-processor with 2GB RAM.
For imaging, there is 12-megapixel iSight camera with 4K video recording support and 5-megapixel front facing camera with Retina Flash. It runs on the latest iOS 9, packs Qualcomm MDM9634M LTE Cat. 6 modem for faster LTE speeds and support for 23 LTE bands.
The Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will go on sale in India starting October 16. As per reports Apple has revealed the pricing of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to the offline retailers and they were wise enough to share it.
The Apple iPhone 6s will cost Rs. 62,000 for the 16GB variant, Rs. 72,000 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 82,000 for the 128GB variant while the iPhone 6s Plus will set you back by Rs. 72,000 for the 16GB variant, Rs. 82,000 for the 64GB variant and 92,000 for the 128GB variant.

The new listing also confirms the repricing of iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5s which was reported last month. To recall iPhone 6 is now priced at Rs. 52,000 for the 16GB model and Rs. 62,000 for the 64GB model. The iPhone 6 Plus is now priced at Rs. 62,000 and Rs. 72,000 for 16GB and 64GB models accordingly. The older iPhone 5s
now starts at Rs. 35,000 for the 16GB variant, with the 32GB model now
priced at Rs. 40,000.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have received phenomenal response from consumers acroos the globe, selling more than 13 million units with three days of launch, breaking last year's sales record of 10 million iPhones sold.
Apple's iPhone 6s comes with a decent performing configuration, dazzling looks, wide arrayed connectivity and a bag full of patented features. It has the same design language as its predecessor, but has used a new aluminum, custom Apple alloy in the construction.

Apple iPhone 6s will be available in 12
countries that includes, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong
Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, the UK and the US starting September 25. Pre-orders will begin on September 12
in these countries. Apple iPhone 6s will come in 4 colors- Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold.
There is no official word yet on iPhone 6s pricing and availability in India. However, the launch is certainly going to be within this year, and based on recent iPhone launches in the country, Apple is likely to launch the iPhone 6s just before Diwali (November 11)

Apple has officially unveled the iPhone 6s at a special event in San Francisco. CEO Tim Cook described the new iPhone "as the most advanced phones ever".
Apple's iPhone 6s carries the same design language as its predecessor, but now has a new aluminum, custom Apple alloy in the constructions. It has the same 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD display with 750 x 1334 pixels resolution. It has 3D Touch technology underneath, which is an evolution of the Force touch on the Apple Watch.
This new technology comes with two new
gestures called "Peek" and "Pop" that let you bring up contextual menus
on home screen icons as well as within apps. Peek gives you a preview of the information you are touching, while with Pop you can go right into it. For example, pressing on the Facebook icon gives you a shortcut to update your status and view notifications.
The iPhone 6s has an updated A9 SoC,
with M9 motion co-processor integrated into the chip which offers 70% more processing power than what the previous gen chip was capable of. The new GPU is said to be 90% faster than the GPU on the A8 chip. It runs iOS 9 out of the box and comes in three storage variant- 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.
