Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8" with 4G LTE announced in India for Rs. 16,999


In addition to the Tab 2 A7-20, Lenovo also announced the Yoga Tab 3 (8) for the Indian market. It was initially unveiled at IFA last month. The tablet supports India’s both Band 3 and Band 40 4G LTE bands, and offers voice calling via loudspeaker or headset.

The tablet features Lenovo's signature foldable stand, together with the hangerhole, which allows users to prop the tablets in four ways- Hold, Stand, Tilt or Hang. The stereo speakers housed in front of the tablet is powered by Dolby Atmos 3D Surround sound tech.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8" sports 8-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with 10-point multitouch and is equipped with AnyPen technology, allowing metal object to be used as stylus. Inside there is a 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 212 (APQ8009) processor with Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage, further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The 8-megapixel camera sits atop the rotatable module and acts as both rear and front shooter. It comes with nifty gesture control, perfect for taking photos and videos at nearly any angle. You can simply open and close a hand to take a photo. Apart from 4G LTE, there is also support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It is fueled by 6200mAh battery which offers up to 20 hours of usage on a single charge.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 is priced at Rs. 16,999 and will go one sale in the country by end of this month. Lenovo  is also planning to launch the Yoga Tab 3 Pro in India by the end of the year.
