Sony Xperia Z5 Dual, Xperia Z5 Premium Dual launched in India

The Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium were unveiled at this year's IFA and now both the flagship smartphones has been launched in India. The dual-SIM variants of the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available in Indian market.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is the world's first smartphone to boast 4K resolution display. Apart from the display and battery both the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium have similar specs.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual features a 5.5-inch 4K Ultra-HD Trilumonos display with X-Reality engine and has a pixel density of 806ppi. It is fueled by 3430mAh battery and supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The Xperia Z5 Dual sports 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS Triluminous display and packs a 2900mAh battery which supports STAMINA mode and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

Both the Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium Dual are equipped with octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. There is microSD card slot that accepts up to 200GB microSD card. They runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

For imaging there is a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s, 5x clear image zoom without loss of quality, 4K video recording. On the front sits a 5-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera with EXMOR R sensor. On the connectivity front there is support for 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL 3.0, NFC.

They also include fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, IPX5 / IPX8 ratings for dust and water resistance with capless USB and Sony's LDAC audio compression codec that promises high-quality wireless music playback and high-quality experience. 

The Sony Xperia Z5 Dual has been priced at Rs. 52,990 and will be available from October 23 in Graphite Black, Gold and Green colors. The Xperia Z5 Premium Dual is priced at Rs. 62,990 and will go on sale starting November 7 in Gold and Chrome hues. Sony is also bundling a free Smart Cover worth Rs. 3,500, which can be redeemed from Xperia lounge and digital content worth Rs 4,000 with the smartphones.
