Motorola Moto G Turbo with Snapdragon 615 SoC announced


The Moto G is one of the Motorola's best selling phone of all time. The company launched the Moto G 3rd gen in July, earlier this year and the device packed decent specs at a low to mid-range price. Now Motorola has launched a new variant of the Moto G dubbed Moto G Turbo in Mexico. The new version comes with better chipset and fast charging.

The Moto G Turbo is equipped with octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, instead of Snapdragon 410 with Adreno 306 GPU on the Moto G 3rd gen. It also supports Turbo Charging for quick recharging. Rest of the specs remains unchanged. 



The Moto G Turbo features 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It packs 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card. It sports 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, IR filter, f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter for taking selfies. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and has IPX7 rating for water resistance and can withstand under 3 feet of water for 30 minutes. The battery capacity is not mentioned.

The Motorola Moto G Turbo is priced at 4699 Mexican Pesos ($280 | Rs. 18,500) and will be available in Mexico from November 13.
