Acer Liquid Jade Primo officially announced, coming in February 2016


Acer has officially launched, its flagship Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, the Liquid Jade Primo. It was first showcased at IFA 2015 revealing partial details. Now the company has detailed all the feature ans also the pricing ahead of CES 2016.

Acer described the phone as a "PC in your pocket", referring to Windows 10 Mobiole Continuum features since the Jade Primo has the necessary hardware  to take advantage of the feature along with Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. With Continuum support the Jade Prime can be connected to a monitor, keyboard and mouse via Continuum dock and get a PC-like experience.

Just like the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, the Jade Primo comes with advanced cooling system as well that dissipates the heat from the processor, at the same time reducing the overall surface temperature.

Spec-wise, the Acer Jide Primo sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is equipped with hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with Adreno 408 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Camera-wise, it sports 21-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and can record 4K video as well. On the front there is a 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 apeture and 1080p video recording capabilities. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C port. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery.

The Acer Liquid Jade Primo is priced at €569 (US$615 | Rs. 41,000) and will be available in Europe, Middle East and Africa region starting February 2016.
