Acer's Chromebook 11 gets a redesign with sturdy build
Acer at CES 2016, Las Vegas has unveiled a a new model of the Chromebook 11. The new design makes the laptop more durable for commercial and educational environments. It can handle up to 60kg of force on the top cover and can withstand up to 60cm drops.
The Acer Chromebbok 11 sports a 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution and is powered by the same quad-core Celeron N2840 Bay Trail processor, as the previous model. It comes with 2GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB eMMC storage. As usual, it runs on Chrome OS.
The Chromebook comes with HDR camera, microSD card reader and supports dual-band 2x2 MIMO 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI connectivity. It offers 9 hours of battery life.
The Chromebook 11 line (CB3-131) prices start at $180 in North America and €329 in Europe, Middle East and Africa. It will be available in February.
