Asus Chromebook C202 is tough enough for high school

Asus has introduced the Chromebook C202, a lightweight ruggedized Chrome OS based notebook designed for educational purpose.

The Chromebook comes with rubber bumper with reinforced corners, spill-resistent keyboard and scratch resistant shell making it more than tough enough to withstand the daily abuse of classroom use.

The Asus Chromebook C202 sports a 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) display and is powered by an Intel Celeron SoC with 2GB/4GB RAM and 16GB storage. It comes with 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, headphone jack and a SD card reader. The battery life is claimed to be 10 hours.

The Chromebook has a modular body, which means it can be repaired easily. Users will be able to replace parts like the battery, keyboard and power socket. It also has a hinge which can be rotated 180-degrees

Pricing for the Chromebook C202 4GB model will be between $220 and $230 when it launches in February.
