Samsung Chromebook 3 announced

Samsung unveiled it latest Chromebook product, the Chromebook 3. It sports a reinforced metal body that offers protection against drops and spills, and is quite portable as it weighs just 1.14kg and measures 17mm around the waist.

The Samsung Chromebook 3 sports a 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is armed with an Intel Celeron N3050 chipset with Intel HD graphics, 2GB/4GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage. For connectivity there is WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port and a HDMI out port.

Other features include 720p webcam, microSD card slot and stereo speakers with 1.5W output. The Chromebook offers 8.5 hours of battery life.

The Samsung Chromebook 3 will be available sometime early 2016. The pricing has not been announced, but since it is a Chromebook, it will be priced quite competitively. The Chromebook 2 retailed for $399, when it was announced.
