Blu Vivo 5, Vivo XL with 5.5-inch display announced


U.S based budget smartphone maker Blu, has announced two new stylish Android smartphones- Vivo 5 and Vivo XL at CES 2016. The Vivo 5 sports a full metal design and while Vivo XL has a liquid metal finish. They share the same specs except for the RAM and storage.

The Blu Vivo 5 sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is equipped with 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali T720 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. The dual-SIM runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and qualifies for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the near future.

For photography, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, PDAF and can record 1080p videos. For clicking selfies you get a 5-megapixel front snapper. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFI 801.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB Type-C. It is fueled by 3150mAh battery and comes equipped with Hi-Fi DTS Sound for an enhanced audio experience.

The Blue Vivo XL packs 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. Rest of the specifications are same as Blu Vivo 5. The Blu 5 comes in White-Silver and Gold colors, while the Vivo XL comes in Chrome Silver, Liquid Gold, Midnight Blue and Rose Gold.

The Blue Vivo 5 costs $199 (13,250) and will go on sale in the U.S in February, while the Vivo XL will go on sale in January for $149 (Rs. 10,000). It will be available for purchase from Amazon and BestBuy.com
