Lenovo Lemon 3 with Snapdragon 616 SoC launched in China


Lenovo has announced a new mid-range smartphone dubbed Lemon 3 in China. It sports a metal unibody design and comes with stereo speakers on the back with Waves MaxxAudio technology and Dolby audio for an immersive media experience.

The Lemon 3 features a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is equipped with 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 616 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

For photography, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and can capture 1080p video. Front facing snapper is 5-megapixel. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE (supports India band), 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS connectivity and is fueled by 2750mAh battery that promises 15 days of standby time on 4G, 32 hours of talk time on 2G, 12 hours of audio playback and 6.2 hours of video playback. It comes in Gold and Silver colors. 

The Lenovo Lemon 3 is priced at CNY 699 ($106 | Rs. 7,000) and is now available for pre-order via Lenovo Store. in China, while shipping will start next week. There is no details on global availabilie. The phone will be competing against Xiaomi's Redmi 3 which is also priced same, but comes with 4100mAh battery.
