HTC Desire 628 dual sim with 5-inch display, 13MP camera announced
HTC after launching its flagship HTC 10, launched a couple of mid-range phones including One S9 and Desire 830. Now the company has expanded its mid-range Desire series smartphone, by introducing the Desire 628 dual sim phone in Vietnam.
The Desire 628 dual sim appears to be a downgraded version of Desire 830. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC's own Sense UI on top, which is bit disappointing considering that Desire 830 and One S9 runs Android Marshmallow.
The HTC Desire 628 dual sim sports 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) displua and is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor aided by Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be further increased via microSD card (up to 2TB).
For photography, it gets 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor and is capable of recording 1080p videos. On the front there is 5-megapixel 75-degree wide-angle camera for clicking selfies and video calling. It can record 1080p videos as well and comes with BSI sensor.
Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 2000mAh battery, and houses dual front facing BoomSound speakers.
The HTC Desire 628 dual sim comes in two color schemes, White w/ Purple and White w/ Orange. Unfortunately, there are no details about the pricing or availability yet.
